The easiest way to shop more sustainably is to be mindful of what your clothes are made of. Look for natural, low-impact fabrics that are biodegradable, breathable, and kinder to the planet.

Sustainable Fabrics to Look For:

1. Take Inventory of your closet and make a shopping plan!

• Do a Quick Closet Review:
  Spend 15-20 minutes flipping through your wardrobe. Look for gaps in your staples—do you need a new pair of jeans? A versatile blazer? Everyday boots? Make a list of what’s missing and prioritize these items during sales.

• Think About Your Lifestyle:
  Consider what types of outfits you need most. Are you missing workwear essentials, casual weekend looks, or pieces for special events? Focus on items that match your daily routine and upcoming plans.

• Reflect on What You’re Not Wearing:

• Just because it’s on sale doesn’t mean it’s the best deal. Know the original price to see if you’re getting a true discount. Also a good time to browse online and add to cart so they are ready to go when the sales go live if you are shopping online.

• Decide how much you want to spend beforehand so you can shop guilt-free!

⚠️ What to Avoid - I always say if you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear, you are shopping wrong!

To truly change your closet, starts with shopping smart, so don’t make any impulse decisions during the sales!

• Overwhelming Trends: Stay away from bold trends that don’t align with your personal style.

• Poor Quality Fabrics: Even on sale, items made from cheap materials are not worth it.
